I joined Carlson Wagonlit’s business travel department based in Nottingham in 1995 and was responsible for arranging business travel for Boots head office based in Nottingham. I then decided to change my pace of life and moved to the Isle of Wight in 1999, and have never looked back. Working for American Express as Manager for the GKN Aerospace implant was challenging but rewarding. In 2001 GKN made a decision to close the implant but created a position for me as Travel Manager for the site, overseeing all travel requirements. In 2003 Mandy offered me an opportunity to join her and the rest, as they say, is history. Previous to joining Carlson I worked in various High Street agencies for 11 years, working my way up from unpaid Saturday assistant to Shop Manager.
Mandy and I arrange business travel for various Island and Mainland companies including Gurit, Readers Direct, FW Marsh (Electrical & Mechanical) Ltd and Liz Earle Active Skincare. We have a niche market in the marine industry on the Island and are the preferred travel supplier to the Cowes Marine Cluster (www.cowesmarinecluster.com)
